Realizing Dreams: Giving and Receiving

 

For Dolores Incremona, earning her bachelor’s degree in political science from Saint Leo College in 1980 fulfilled a long-held desire.  After graduating from high school in Paterson, NJ, Dolores enrolled in college, attended classes for a year and then, at the age of 21, enlisted in the Air Force.  Read more of Dolores's story...

Thomas A. Plein

For the Greater Good

 

The Thomas A. Plein Foundation was granted charitable status in March 1987 to advance his family’s philanthropic interests.  Among the foundation’s many charitable interests, Mr. Plein hoped his foundation would help provide education opportunities for those in need.  Read more of Thomas's story...

Larry Ruf never attended Saint Leo University, which makes the story of his gift all the more remarkable.  Larry’s first visit to campus was in October 2006 when he was 93 years old.  He had been visiting a neighbor one day discussing his dilemma over where to direct his estate.  Read more of Larry's story...

Paying it Forward

 

Cate Seely ’08 truly embraces the concept of “paying it forward”.  In fact, in 2012 she established an annual scholarships she named the Pay It Forward Scholarship to benefit a student entering their senior year at Saint Leo.  Read more of Cate's story...
